PowerUp Single Port PoE Injector Features

PowerUp Single Port PoE Injector - Summary of Key Product Features

LAN Power Systems Midspan Power over Ethernet Hubs have many key feature advantages over other PoE products. Below is a summary of the major feature advantages of the PowerUp Single Port PoE Injector.

Flexibility
The LAN Power Systems Single Port PoE Injector produces IEEE 802.3af Standard PoE protocol output. It is an excellent choice for powering Wireless access points or IP Security Cameras where only one to a few powered Ports are needed. These have been very popular products and are in use at many End user sites today. The End user can literally save thousands of dollars by using PowerUp Single Port PoE Injectors instead of buying new powered Ethernet Switches. Use in a Data center, wiring closet or IDF, anywhere you need to add PoE to a single LAN Data link.

Simplicity
Just connect with patch cords, plug in the power cable and you're ready to power IP Phones, Access Points, Security Cameras or other Emerging products. No Software to install, no IP addressing to map. Either shelf-mount, place on top of Ethernet Switch or use the included wall mounting bracket. Completely safe with built-in IEEE auto Detection, auto Disconnect and over voltage protections. 90-264v Auto-ranging input and removable power cable means the Single Port Injector works in any world Country. Simply source a local power cable for the Country of use.

Ready for Non-Standard Powering of End devices
Have an End device you would like to power but the Manufacturer does not have it ready to accept IEEE 802.3af PoE? The kind of device that comes with a wall adapter and accepts 24 or 12 or 5 volts? Do you want to install the End device where there is no 110 volt outlet handy? Does it have a power pin input like from a cell phone charger or screw terminals to accept 2 bare powering wires? LAN Power has your solution available now! Simply use one of the Voltage Adapter part numbers along with the Single Port Injector and bring Network power over the LAN Data cable to those hard to reach End devices today. Find more info on the Voltage Adapter family in the Products section of LAN Power website.

Ready for Gigabit Ethernet End devices
Like all PowerUp products, the Single Port Injector supports 10, 100 or 1000Mbs Data connections. This is just another way that LAN Power Systems products exceed the current IEEE802.3af PoE specifications. Applications such as Video Screen IP Phones or High Bandwidth Access Points or Super resolution IP Cameras require Gigabit Data connections in order to work properly. A number of these devices are already available and more are expected in the coming years. PoE-equipped Switches and other Midspan PoE or powered Patch Panels were not designed to support Gigabit Data throughput. Adding Gigabit End devices to the Network will mean a "forklift upgrade" for the competition's PoE products.

Full Power on PoE Port
This is another key technology difference that separates PowerUp from other PoE products. Other PoE products are limited in their total power available for the End device attached to the PoE unit. The PowerUp Single Port has been engineered from the start to provide 28 watts of total power availability. The PowerUp 8 Port Hub is always capable of providing a full 28 watts per Port, exceeding the IEEE802.3af Standard. Other Single Port PoE products just can't beat this.

No need for "Power Management"
This also means that there is no "Power Management" software needed to monitor and control how much power is being utilized by End devices, no need to set thresholds or prioritize which devices get power and which don't in case the total power allotment is reached. This is a major savings for the Customer to not devote man-hours to measuring, monitoring, making settings or accounting for power usage. Competitors treat "Power Management" as if it were a feature; it is really a necessary software tool to make up for a major deficiency in their product technology. PowerUp products don't need Power Management because they have full power available, on all Ports, all the time.

Full 2 year Warranty - The Single Port PoE Injector, like all LAN Power Systems products, comes with a quality and performance warranty lasting 2 full years.

Other Manufacturers PoE products cannot match the Flexibility, Simplicity and Value of the PowerUp Single Port PoE Injector solution.
